About the client

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) is the largest nature conservation charity in the UK, dedicated to protecting species and habitats.


RSPB hosts events at their nature reserves, providing unique opportunities to connect with nature and get behind the scenes to experience their reserves. Wildlife events occur throughout the year at their 186 nature reserves throughout the UK, with a range of experiences from boat trips, insect trapping, bat detecting and indoors learning.


The COVID-19 pandemic certainly represented a major challenge for venues. Many organisations were forced to quickly adapt to the restrictions imposed on the event industry. The RSPB team wanted to turn challenge into opportunity. In cooperation with the Nutickets team, they took the downtime as a chance to invest in technology and, move their event management solution to the cloud. RSPB manage 186 nature reserves throughout the UK, each offering their own unique conservation work and events to enjoy the great outdoors. They needed a complete system that allowed individual reserves to manage events, but also allowed high-level control governance. The Nutickets visibility group feature gave the local reserves sight of their own events, reports and customers, whilst automatically syncing the data to the RSPB parent account.

It was important for RSPB to be able to maintain its instantly recognisable branding to continue the connection to its community. Nutickets customisation allowed RSPB to imprint their colour, theme and layouts until the entire experience was seamless.
