About the client

Manchester Science Parks (MSP) is a world-class science and technology community of successful, innovative companies based across four sites in Greater Manchester. The sites include Manchester Science Park, Manchester Technopark, One Central Park and Salford Innovation Park. For more than 25 years, MSP has supported the growth of innovative companies across sectors such as ICT, biotechnology, industrial technologies and digital media.

Leading the way with first-class business events

Every month MSP hosts numerous free social activities, seminars, corporate and networking events for its tenants and the wider innovation community. Key to planning and hosting these types of events is organisation and efficiency to ensure that guests secure tickets in the simplest way possible. MSP was previously using other online event registration services but wanted a system that was easier to use and offered the potential to manage and promote all of its events. MSP holds on average one event a week and sees a high number of guests visiting the four sites every month. In line with the first-class business events, MSP needed an effective, powerful ticketing solution.

Event data at the push of a button

Not only did Nutickets provide the full ticketing solution for MSP, but staff were able to monitor data from the events. Using the back office system, MSP could build up a complete picture of people attending the event from their age and occupation to personal notes such as delegate preferences. The reporting function meant that MSP could really tailor invites to potential attendees and keep a record of event data such as entry times and guest demographics.

The solution

Events come in all shapes and sizes and Nutickets worked closely with MSP to identify their needs and suggested its all-in-one cloud based ticketing solution. Within a week, MSP had set up events online on a personalised Nutickets web page and started inviting guests straight away. Customers could receive their tickets on email, which could be printed and scanned at the door with the free Nutickets App for iPhones and iPod touch. Staff also found the back office system of Nutickets a simple, no fuss way of monitoring tickets and promoting the event via social media.
Not only that, but it’s completely free to use the ticket sales area of Nutickets for free events.

A model for the future

Impressed with the use ability and functionality of Nutickets, MSP hope to integrate the ticket sales system onto their website so delegates can book directly from the MSP website. The Nutickets system is flexible and puts you in control of where you sell your tickets- whether on your own website, through a Facebook ticket shop or on a personalised Nutickets page. It’s easy to set up and the ticket technologists at Nutickets are always on hand to help with any queries.
