About the client
Angel Comedy Club is a London-based comedy club which began in 2010. Initially, they hosted just one gig a week, but have now grown into a seven nights a week 'Comedy Institution'.
Each week, Angel Comedy Club (ACC) hosts a range of comedians every day, with the aim of exploring how comedy can benefit their local community, and mainly aiming to make people laugh! Their events are held across two locations in the UK's capital, The Camden Head and The Bill Murray, both located in North London.
As their brand developed into a well-known name, their events increased and ACC needed an event ticketing software to match this demand. Key features they required included:
- List free-entry events through the same system as ticketed events, to avoid splitting up management of events across multiple platforms
- Manage promotions for events both free and ticketed via facebook, twitter, and email
- Target email promotions for particular upcoming events by those who have previously bought tickets to that performer
- Integrate white label ticketing into their website
- Analyse ticket sales information
Hosting frequent events on a weekly basis meant Angel Comedy Club needed a powerful, reliable yet simple ticket shop solution. Instead of manually dealing with a large volume of attendees, the client opted for online ticketing to help streamline this process.
Each attendee is now able to select the day they wish to attend the comedy club, and are then directed to the relevant ticket shop. This has improved the customer booking experience and made it much simpler to handle for staff members.
As the client has built a strong brand reputation, it was important for them to keep their ticket shop to the same standard.

With daily events occurring, it was important for Angel Comedy Club to keep track of the different information they collect at each event, in order to help them take their growth even further.
