RFID technology is one of the most exciting innovations out there. Venues across the world have adopted an cashless payment system through contactless payments, getting the most out of seamless transactions.
While you may have heard or been involved in cashless events, the different ways contactless can be utilised are sometimes less obvious. Venues can leverage contactless technology to make use of it in surprising ways, but with an unsurprising scope of benefits for owners and attendees alike.
In a time where venues are adapting to life after COVID-19, contactless technology through access control and pre purchase redemption is being used to bring venues back open for business.
Finca Sala Vivé by Freixenet Mexico is one of Mexico's most desirable vineyards, welcoming guests from all over the world for an enriching winery experience. Whether it’s a Paella festival or a Vnart Jazz festival, Freixenet provides an immersive experience around Mexico's finest wines.
The coronavirus pandemic hit Freixenet, and the entire global hospitality industry. Sun seeking travelers are now understandably cautious when entering shared spaces. Freixenet realised they had to adapt to the new normal or face an uncertain future.
Freixenet was keen to work with Nutickets to create an environment where customers felt safe. Removing touchpoints between staff and customers was going to be key.
The organisers were managing ticket sales, seating plans, and time slots manually. Nutickets replaced this with an integrated venue management system.
The Nutickets reservation system allowed Freixenet to limit the number of people in each of their daily tours. By lowering their maximum capacity within the reservation software they were able to make sure there was no overcrowding throughout the day.
Physical tickets were swapped out for Nutickets easy-to-use online event ticketing platform. Customers could now arrive with e-tickets that the Freixenet staff was able to validate on entry, at a distance, with a scan of the smartphone via the secure access control app. Utilising our cashless system, they were able to load the customer smart wristbands with drink tokens, allowing the Freixenet bars to become completely cashless with contactless payments.
Adopting Nutickets solutions, Freixenet was able to be the first to prepare for reopening during the Coronavirus pandemic in Mexico, while competitors remained closed. Welcoming customers back, and rethinking their 1,250 events per year, has not only given Freixenet a competitive advantage but has also rescued income that would have otherwise been lost.
